Blunted for reenactment fights.
This viking sword represents a widely used form from the Viking Age, based on the Jan Petersen typology, which appeared in the middle of the IXth century.
The blade is made from hardened 51CrV4 steel (approx. 50 HRC). The crossguard is made from mild steel, while the grip features a beech wood core, covered with leather.
This is one of our lightest and fastest swords, optimized for Western-style combat techniques. Due to its low mass and handling characteristics, it is not recommended for Eastern-style fighting, where different dynamics and blade behavior are required.
