Eger saber is based on the finding of Eger-Répástető  (North -East Hungary) graves. The guard is the copy of the Bana (Hungary) finding.   The pommel is inspired by the pear-shaped pommels widely used within the nomadic cultural sphere of the period, known in both plain iron forms and richly decorated examples made of precious metals. Compared to contemporary sabers, this one has a significant curvature that makes it unique.
The blade is 51crv4 hardened steel (~50 HCR).  The crossguard is made from mild steel, for the grip I use beech wood,  coverd with leather.
This blade is ideal for western or eastern style combats. The curvature of the blade provides an advantage during a combat.
